Boulevards, Good for Growing Vegetables? Photos
All of the above photos were taken in the Fall of 2008 in Vancouver.
In Berkeley, CA, next to a street that looks as if it is partially blocked to traffic, there is a thriving boulevard garden.

Cool blog! I will be doing some major front yard edible gardening this year-- on a military post in WA. They have a policy where you can only plant annuals, but they don't say anything about whether or not those annuals have to be flowers. Last year I planted about 25 different kinds of veggies, and I plan to do more this year.
Hooray for front yard edibles!
I'm amazed that you planted 25 varieties! I hope you have good success again in 2009.
