As Easy as 1-2-3

Despite this being near the end of the summer and Vancouver's dry period when watering every day is necessary, this gardener is creating a new boulevard garden, a raised bed in three parts. The three sections of this garden-in-the-making neatly demonstrate the steps needed.

1. Build the raised bed and collect cardboard to stop the grass from growing.
2. Spread soil on the cardboard.

3. Plant!

this year I did kind of the same thing - minus the built in walls and instead of cardboard i dug up all the grass.. yeah, that sucked. but now we have veggies! yay!
