This is the title of an article in the April 30, 2010 issue of the Vancouver Courier about a front yard vegetable garden that was not tidy enough for some neighbors.

Oh everyones always got an opinion on how things should look. As any gardener knows things are always a work in progress. Yes, some bylaws are put in place to keep neigbourhoods from looking to wild, but if things are kept within an exceptable state, I think homeowners/occupants should be able to grow what they wish.

I just had a look at the property on google maps streetview and it is not just "untidy", it has more weeds than vegetables and I can see why neighbours would complain.
